The Room (2003)

The Room is a film by Tommy Wiseau featuring Tommy Wiseau, Juliette Danielle, and Greg Sestero. I won’t say anything about the story, I wouldn’t want to spoil it.

To make it clear: this is a bad film, and it’s best enjoyed if you don’t take it too seriously.

Everything you take for granted when watching a film, everything goes awfully wrong. And you see what’s wrong, it’s actually a great lesson in cinema, and I don’t think many people would manage to make something as bad as The Room, even if they tried their best. This thing is an accident, an awful one, and an hilarious one.

Surprisingly enough, it passes the Bechdel test, as Lisa (Juliette Danielle) and her mother Claudette (Carolyn Minnott) discuss many things that aren’t men.
